Training Materials

Currently, the GLPTA works primarily with two sources, the American Chemical Society (ACS) and the Center for the Advancement of Process Technology (CAPT), for process technology training and educational materials. Long term, we would like to develop a pool of shared training materials developed by alliance partners to help foster a best practice approach to common process technology training needs.

The American Chemical Society (www.acs.org) has created curriculum guide for a 2-year program in process technology. The GLPTA has the ACS guide for review by our educational partners. If interested, contact the ACS at 800-227-5558 or by email at education@acs.org and ask to purchase a copy of the curriculum guide.

The Center for the Advancement of Process Technology (CAPT) has created a process technology program containing eight mandatory courses and two optional courses under the PTEC program trademark. The instructor guides, text books, and student workbooks can be purchased from the CAPT via their web site or by phone at 409-938-1211, ext 100. The GLPTA has a set of instructor manuals for review by alliance partners.
